John Lewis Celebratory Party 2008

In March 2008 prestigious high street retailer JOHN LEWIS invited Sounds Commercial to organise a one off, unique event to celebrate ten fantastic years at Cribbs Causeway. The event, a glitzy anniversary party for all their employees (Partners) was held at the Empire & Commonwealth Museum.

A key element to the success of the event was the expertise shown by the in house Sound Engineering team at Sounds Commercial who ensured that the sound quality was first class for an event with back to back live music and presentations throughout
the evening.

Performances were enhanced by the use of intelligent lighting and when “Frank Sinatra” was introduced the venue was filled with the smoke of dry ice as he was “carried” by follow spot through the audience, making his way to the stage. A high energetic disco funk band followed.

The stage setting brief was to reflect the luxury brand that is John Lewis and the team did this by draping the whole venue in twinkling star cloth, providing a grand “red carpet” welcome to the dance floor and producing huge “branded” banners that were produced by the Sounds Commercial print team and rigged from the vacuous ceilings.

The event was compered expertly by a celebrity
DJ, Sounds Commercial once again providing a stunning show.

Additional entertainment was offered in the form of a casino complete with “John Lewis” branded fun money that proved to be the real winner whilst a variety of chocolate fountains became gathering points for many. Delicious!

The Sounds Commercial team delivered this event from conception through to completion and it was a real winner for everyone involved.
